Multi Use Games Area – MUGA

Erpingham Parish Council has recently installed a Multi-Use Games Area, which is available for residents and visitors to book for free.

Floodlit Walking Football
Takes place at the Erpingham Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm.

Walking Football was initially designed to help get the over 50s back into football and exercise. However, we welcome men and women of all ages and abilities to our sessions, where the slower pace means less risk of injury than in conventional soccer.

New Age Kurling

The Hub has everything necessary to play the ‘non-ice’ version of the popular sport. In addition to organising sessions throughout the year, the Hub also loans the equipment to individuals, clubs and groups. It is an ideal activity for social events or fund raising.

The MUGA is a community asset which is freely available for anyone wishing to participate in sporting activities for recreational purposes, whether individually or as part of a team.

It comprises an all-weather surface with floodlighting, recess goals, rebound fencing, basketball hoops, fence-located wickets and mobile tennis nets.

The floodlights work by using tokens, which can be purchased from the Erpingham Arms or from Martin Service Station on the A140 at Alby.

The MUGA opening times are:

  • Weekdays: 08.00 – 21.00
  • Weekends: 09.00 – 20.00

MUGA Risk Assessment – An exemplar that users such as school groups, etc. may want, to assist with their paperwork.
