Fairy Tales and Fables

16th August

MANNINGTON HALL AND GARDENS

A new venture for Mannington with something for all ages and fundraising for Norfolk hospices. What could be better?

In the grounds there will be a trail of fabled creatures made by local artist blacksmith Baron Tremain; visitors will be invited to explore some of the garden’s secret places and maybe win one of the special prizes related to the theme of the day. Within the moated hall gardens there will be a special fairy trail for younger children – more prizes.

In the medieval Hall there will be books old and new to look at and for sale, with display of illustrations by local artist, Fiona French. Story telling for all will take place in and near the Hall at regular intervals.

Adults, come and reminisce about fairy tales and fables you may only half remember and learn more about their significance and history. Children, come and discover delightful stories for the first time in this perfect setting. Children dressed in fairy costumes especially welcome.

Mannington is often described as a fairy tale house in a magical setting – on 16th August we can promise it will be even more fabulous – in all senses of the word!

Open from 12-5 Usual garden admission: so just £6.00 adults, £5.00 concessions (seniors, students). CHILDREN UP to 16 Free.
