Thwaite Common is registered common land with free access. There are paths, and
the Weaver’s Way public footpath crosses the common. Be warned that parts of the Common can be very wet, even in dry weather. Cattle graze on the Common during the summer months. It is managed by the District Council’s countryside team. 01263 513811.
